Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society (CASFS) ANNOUNCEMENT - Be sure to join us at CopperCon 28 on August 28-31, 2008 The Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 organization. Our purpose is to promote interest in science fiction, fantasy and science. As part of that effort we occasionally have special events at our monthly meetings at JBs. Current info is: MEETING: August 22, 2008 IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHANGE OF DATE LOCATION The CASFS meetings will be held at JB's Family Restaurant located at 1818 W. Montebello Ave, Phoenix AZ 85015 SPECIAL EVENT: None planned NOTES: None. CASFS is the sponsor of two annual events: CopperCon, a science fiction convention, and HexaCon, a gaming convention. In the past CASFS has sponsored SmerfCon, PhringeCon and the 1992 Westercon. CASFS was incorporated in 1979 by a group of Arizona and California fans after their attendance at the 1978 Worldon, also known as Iggycon.
