ALL Readings are in Raven

Saturday 11a-1130a Charles Lesher
"Evolution' s Child"

Catch a glimpse into the birth pains of a nation, a nation far different from anything seen on Earth, a nation that embraces openness and rejects secrets, a nation where your every move is recorded and lies are instantly known. While the Earth has struggled with environmental stress, wars, and political upheaval, the Republic of Luna has carved a society from the harsh extremes of an airless world, a place where technology is literally all that stands between life and death.

Saturday 1130a-noon Craig Porter
"The Awakening"

Basicly, it is about a young boy who is out camping and the magic of the woods and the night bring him into harmony with the animals, the woods and his ancestors. The closing is about a charge from his "dead" grand mother to protect the woods.

Saturday 4p-430p Paul Cook
"His Former Self"

A family squabble over a father's estate and an attempt to clone the father back to life. (With a twist in the end!)

Saturday 430p-5p John Jos. Miller
"Mortality's Strong Hand"

A Billy Ray story that will appear in BUSTED FLUSH, the next volume in the Wild Card series (due for a December 2008 release). After 30 years as a field agent, Ray has surprisingly been promoted to head of SCARE, a mostly-secret government agency composed entirely of aces. But Billy Ray is not exactly comfortable in his new position. He now has to go to meetings, write up budgets, and deal with bureaucrats, chief among them his new boss and nemesis, Attorney General Hillary Rodham. On top of this, though he barely admits it to himself, he's missing the Midnight Angel, and he's longing to get out into the field and kick some butt. He gets his wish -- and more -- as a group of criminally psychotic aces escape from BICC (the Biological Isolation and Containment Center) outside of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and the half-devoured body of a N.M. state trooper leads him to his most dramatic confrontation ever, outside the Interplanetary House of Pancakes in Alamagordo, New Mexico.

Saturday 6p-630p Cathie Yankovich
"Assassins"

** this reading is in Palo Verde 1 room ** Mix together a rich black sheep and a forgettie slave convicted of murder, add a dash of mystery and a sprinkle of romance, spread across two planets, and you have Assassins, the story of Rhys dru Taliasson and Bebbe.

Sunday 1130a-noon Adam Niswander
"The Hound Hunters"

A new designer drug has gained in popularity and is being sold in the Southwest. Users claim that, under its influence, they gain god-like perception and can even see and travel to other dimensions. In Phoenix, a young woman named Carlita breast- feeds her infant daughter, Carmel, after injecting the drug and is transported to a strange unknown place. There, she is suddenly pursued through the dark by howling red-eyed creatures that snuffle and pant like a pack of hunting dogs. To her horror, Carlita discovers that her baby has somehow accompanied her and, through an act of sheer will, sends her daughter back even as she is herself torn to pieces by the pack. But it is not only little Carmel who returns to Earth. The shamans of The Great Gathering must once again act to destroy an ancient evil that seeks to destroy the world.

Sunday 1230p-1p Ken St. Andre
"Griffin Feathers"

Set in Trollworld, and is the origin story for Lerotra'hh, the half-uruk who drove the elfin wizard Khazan from power, and established an empire of "monsters" in Trollworld.

Sunday noon-1230p Michelle Welch
"Serenade"

When a brain injury destroys Ellen's ability to play music, an experimental medical procedure could restore it. But at what cost?
