The Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society is an IRS  recognized 501(c)3 organization. Our purpose is to promote interest in science fiction, fantasy and science. As part of that effort we occasionally have special events at our monthly meetings at Denny's. Current info is:

NEXT MEETING: AUGUST 27, 2010 at 8PM

LOCATION  The CASFS meetings will be held at Denny's Restaurant located at 2360 W Northern Ave (Northern Ave just east of I-17 on the north side of the street), Phoenix AZ 85021

CASFS is the sponsor of the annual science fiction convention, CopperCon. In the past CASFS has sponsored HexaCon, a gaming convention, SmerfCon, a conrunners event, PhringeCon, an SF media convention, and the 1982 and 1992 Westercons.

CASFS was incorporated in 1979 by a group of Arizona and California fans after their attendance at the 1978 Worldcon, also known as Iggycon.
